The Asphaltgold x ASICS EX89 "Impromptu" is a collaboration by the Europe-based retailer on the retro-inspired sneaker. Inspired by the ASICS Gel Extreme basketball shoe that debuted in 1989, the EX89 features a similar, vintage design. Here, Asphaltgold’s version of the shoe looks to music and its reverence in both sneakers and streetwear. The upper features a combination of white nubuck, hairy suede, and leather. Ginger Peach-colored ASICS branding appears on the sides. An “Asphaltgold” logo tab is found on the lateral side of the collar. A cream midsole completes the look. Release date: August 11, 2023
